Jazmin & Cinthia

Hello everyone! Maddy and Logan back to tell you about a couples session we had recently….wow it’s been a minute! We are so happy to be back on the blog and we have so much to share about our photoshoot with Jazmin and Cinthia. We did their couples photos at Crystal Peak Park in Verdi, Nevada and we love this park even more every time we come back! The mountain views, lush greenery and the vibes are everything. It was the perfect choice for their session. Let’s talk about the lovely couple, Jazmin and Cinthia!

Jazmin and Cinthia reached out to us after Jazmin’s sister got her Mother and Daughter photos done with us a little while back. They loved how they turned out and really wanted to get photos of their own done! Jazmin and Cinthia are the sweetest couple, and have been together and married for 5 years now. They now have a beautiful family with their five kiddos! Their love story begins with an introduction through a family member and the rest is history! Jazmin and Cinthia love going to the movies and dinner together. They enjoy spending lots of time with their kiddos and shared that they go to a lot of sports games since their son is in soccer!

These two had never gotten professional photos done before so the pressure was on! We started our photoshoot off with some shots capturing the scenery and take advantage of golden hour while the sun was still showing off! We took some movements shots here as well, to get some candid photos of them. Here are some of our favorite shots from this location:

We moved to our next spot where we took out a sheet to get some sitting and laying down photos of them. These are some of our favorite photos to take, they are intimate and capture a couple’s love story in such a unique way. We had Jazmin and Cinthia start by laying down and facing each other. We also got some pictures showcasing their rings. These photos did not disappoint, they came out amazing and captured their marriage beautifully. This is our favorite photo!

Next, we found this cute little path in the park that would be perfect for capturing photos of them walking together. We let Jazmin and Cinthia know at the beginning of the shoot that Maddy is extremely clumsy and would, at some point in the shoot, fall and eat it. Sure enough while we were on this path to get some photos of them walking, Maddy trips and almost steps on a pile of dog poop (we have Jazmin to thank for the save). Good news is, we got the shot and it was worth it!

We did find a nice little treasure (not dog poop) along the path on our way to the next location though! We found these pretty purple wildflowers that we thought would be perfect for getting some close-ups of Jazmin & Cinthia. Here is one of our favorite photos featuring the wildflower!

We found another wide-open field with lots of greenery on our way back to the entrance of the park and so we stopped to get more photos here. Since this was their first photoshoot together, they wanted to keep it a surprise so they told their kids they were going on a date. Jazmin shared that their kids said they are “too old” for that…what?!?! We saw this as a challenge: make this the funnest and coolest date that they could tell their kids about when they get home. To help them embrace their inner child, we had Jazmin chase Cinthia and grab her from behind! Not only did they have fun but they got to prove to their kids that love keeps you young! We also did a few more candid shots here. We love using prompts like “tell your partner a secret” for getting clients to have fun and laugh during their session. Jazmin and Cinthia loved this prompt and while we don’t know what the secret was, it definitely got Cinthia to laugh!

By this point in the photoshoot, we had gotten to know Jazmin and Cinthia and their love story quite well. We learned that they also use playful humor as love language in their marriage! It was nice to also see a couple who can joke about the little things because in our experience, that is what keeps the love alive.

Last but not least, we had to stop by the log near the entrance of the park to get some photos! We love using nature as a prop and as for as many poses as possible. We had Cinthia walk across the log while Jazmin guided her. We were definitely nervous about Cinthia’s heels putting her off balance but she did great and the photos came out so cute!

It was an absolute dream to work with Jazmin and Cinthia. We loved getting to know their love story and learning about their beautiful family. We love that they fully embraced the photoshoot and got to make a fun date out of it! Until next time, Maddy and Logan.
